Praise Team is in need of a drummer. If you or someone you know is a talented drummer, and would like to be a part of the early church service Praise Team, please contact Keven Schneider or Debbie Smith. Practice is Wednesday’s at 6:30 pm. Drum set provided by the church.
FCC Co-Ed Softball
We will participate in the St. Joe Baptist League. You must be 13 and older to play. Sign-up sheets will be in the narthex. Please sign up by March 27th. More information to come. Please contact Tim Jones with questions.
Thursdays, 5:30 pm
We have three new Bible Studies beginning on Thursday, January 29th with a meal from 5:30 – 6:00 and the study from 6:00 – 7:00. these will be led by Michelle Silkett, Pastor Steve, Joyce Holt and Kathleen Clough. All studies will run through March 5th. Childcare provided.
Week of Compassion
We will receive the Week of Compassion offering the last two sundays in February. Week of compassion provides financial assistance in dire situations worldwide. In 2014 Week of Compassion has even helped locally in rock Port, Orrick, and St. Joseph. Currently Week of Compassion is assisting in the Congo and Honduras with food security. Isn’t it a blessing to know that we have people whose primary concern is to provide for those in need?
This offering is our opportunity to share with those who are not as fortunate as us. We cannot give more than god has given. Jesus says, “Give, and it will be given to you, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured in your lap.”
Tuesdays, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
A Lenten study based on James Moore’s book, GIVE UP SOMETHING BAD FOR LENT, will begin on Tuesday, February 17, at 2:00 through 3:00 pm and continue each Tuesday through March 31. The class, taught by Joan Bales, will center on Lenten sacrifices that can draw us closer to Jesus. We’ll be meeting in the HLS classroom. Please come.
Family Comedy Night
Sunday, March 1st, 6:30 pm
The youth have arranged for an all church event featuring comedians: Grammy winner Elliot Threatt and Emmy award winner David Kious. All ages are welcomed, no admission fee, open to the public. Young Adult Night Out
Saturday, March 7th, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
This is a St. Patty’s theme at Chris and Eric Wheeler’s house. Please come and enjoy some corned beef and cabbage. Childcare will be provided at the home of Deana Old starting at 6 pm. Please bring drinks and a side. Contact Chris Wheeler, Tim or Kelly Jones with questions.
Youth Music Practice
Wednesdays, March 11th and March 18th 4:30pm – 5:00pm
In the hopes that our youth will sing and play on March 22nd and on March 29th, Palm Sunday, we would like the youth to come practice on Wednesday March 11th and March 18th from 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
